PRINCIPAL PROFILE Eugene Hrudko M.Eng., P.Eng., Structural Engineer Responsibilities Coordination and design of major structural projects along with client liaison, general promotion and office administration. Education Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering University of Alberta, 1968 Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering (Structural) University of Alberta, 1969 Professional Affiliations Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Ontario. Experience Mr. Hrudko worked as a design engineer for ten years in the consulting engineering and contracting field prior to establishing his own private practices. He has been employed by various Consulting Engineering Companies including Read Jones Christofferson, Reid Crowther and Partners and was also an Associate and Chief Structural Engineer with J.H. Cook, Architects and Engineers, now called CPV Architects and Engineers, and the chief structural engineer at Cosentino And Partners in his last employee position in 1977. His employee design experience encompassed all main methods of building framing systems including post-tensioned concrete, precast concrete, reinforced concrete, structural steel, timber and masonry as well as various foundation systems. Projects have included Devonian Gardens and Toronto Dominion Centre in Calgary, the 500 bed Red Deer General Hospital, Highway #14 bridges near Edmonton and on Memorial Drive and Deerfoot Trail in Calgary, the Royal Bank restoration on 8th Avenue and Centre Street in Calgary, St. Marks Church in Calgary, College Plaza Apartment and Office Complex in Edmonton and the Central Academic and Mechanical Engineering Buildings at the University of Alberta. In his long and varied career Mr. Hrudko has worked on several projects in the permafrost area of Northern Canada as well as on projects in almost every Canadian Province including British Columbia, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec and Nova Scotia as well as some in the United States including hotel projects in Denver and Chicago. In addition he has participated on several design projects overseas with special concentration on Russia where, largely due to his ability to function in Russian he was involved in the design of a 400 bed children's hospital in the city of Nizhnevartovsk in western Siberia and a proposed Mercedes truck facility in the City of Tyumen. |
