HRS HISTORY
HRS Engineering originated in Calgary in 1978. The firm started as E. Hrudko Engineering LTD. It then became HMB Consulting Engineering in 1982. It became HMS Engineering in 1983 and soon afterwards, the Company expanded to other areas of Canada, establishing offices for some time in Toronto (1986 to 1995) and in Vancouver (1990 to 1997). In 2002 the founder, chief principal and CEO of HMS Engineering, Mr. Eugene Hrudko P. ENG, sold the company and established HRS Engineering to continue providing structural engineering services to a select client base. The new company continues to be located at the same location and address as the previous HMS Engineering in the office building owned and managed by Mr. Eugene Hrudko.
In the structural design and drafting area HRS Engineering and its predecessor companies have been using computer aided design and drafting since 1986. During this time we have done almost all of our projects on computer and have done all the larger projects exclusively on computer. In addition to computer drafting, we have most of the major software structural design and analysis packages for reinforced and prestressed concrete, structural steel, wood frame, foundations and finite element analysis of unique and complex structures.
This enables us to provide the most appropriate and cost effective design
solution for all our clients.
HRS Engineering is registered to practice in several Canadian Provinces including British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario. In addition to Canada-wide work, through Mr. Hrudko the company has also extensive experience in working in the United States and Russia.
